About 45 guests attended the WEB investors’ event 2015 and celebrated with the board of directors the opening of the solar park in Brunn am Gebirge, which went into operation in March.
The new system developed by web is not visible from the ground, as it is situated on the roof of an industrial building. It is expected that the nominal capacity of each is 350 kWp making an expected annual yield of 750 MWh; this corresponds to the consumption of about 215 households. Undoubtedly the highlight of the investors’ day was the tour of the plant from the slightly higher roof top of the adjacent office building.
The guests not only enjoyed the view under bright blue sky, but also took the opportunity to speak in details with representatives from WEB about the plant.
The owner of the property BIP supported the project from the beginning. Managing Director Mag. Bettina Breiteneder also accepted the invitation, and spoke at the opening ceremony of the good cooperation and wished for more projects of this kind. CEO Andreas Dangl took advantage of the view, which over looked two wind turbines located close to the A2 and the curve in the company’s development since 1996 until today, also to thank the team for the smooth and successful development of the solar park.
Frank Dumeier (COO) stressed the importance in diversity of renewable energy production and the benefits of decentralised energy production closer to the consumer, for which this power plant is located.
After a short presentation guests were able to follow the construction of the system and among other things, the production course for the day of the partial solar eclipse (20th March).
While some remained until early evening, others chose to visit the nearby ELLA fast charging station with CEO Andreas Dangl which opened in December 2014.
Both look very good and located just a stone's throw away from each other in Brunn am Gebirge. This is what WEB stands for and will continue to be: Energy from renewable sources and to support electric mobility in order to continue to play a leading role in the energy transition.
