Parbasdorf: Second W.E.B wind farm in operation    

Eighteen years after W.E.B opened its first three wind power plants in Parbasdorf, a further wind farm with four cutting-edge 3 MW plants has finally been added.

Austria’s Weinviertel is an excellent wind region with great power plant sites secured by W.E.B many years ago. The wind farm expansions in Auersthal and Spannberg were commissioned in December 2015. Today, four Vestas V112 with a total capacity of 12.3 MW generate clean energy in Parbasdorf as well.  
Favorable weather conditions facilitated the plant construction work and enabled W.E.B to complete the expansion project earlier than expected. In consequence, the new wind power plants could be commissioned in late April instead of June. In terms of figures, the second wind farm provides green energy for 10,000 households, which saves more than 23,000 tons of CO2 every year.
