The photovoltaic system Laa IX with an installed capacity of 1.25 MWp generated its first kilowatt hour of green electricity in the northern Weinviertel region of Austria on December 16. It is already the ninth PV project of W.E.B on the premises of the Brantner company in Laa an der Thaya; W.E.B now operates photovoltaic power plants with a total capacity of approximately 2.65 MWp on site.
The successful implementation of the project is the result of particularly intense months of work. After W.E.B had received the permit for the Laa IX project in late September, construction began in mid-October. A lot has happened since then: the modules were delivered and installed together with Maschinenring Waldviertel Nord in record-breaking time. It took them as little as eight working days in a row to install and connect the 3,388 modules – an excellent performance everyone involved can be proud of. When the transformer was delivered and installed in late November, the system was ready to be put into operation in mid-December. The partnership between W.E.B and Brantner comes to fruition once again, and a new project for a sustainable future is successfully completed!
