On Friday, March 5, 2018, W.E.B Green Energy was officially awarded with the Austrian Ecolabel at the Energiesparmesse-expoEnergy in Wels, Austria. Presented by the Federal Minister of Sustainability and Tourism, Elisabeth Köstinger, the Austrian Ecolabel for highest environmental standards qualifies W.E.B as a supplier of sustainable energy that is guaranteed to be free of nuclear and fossil fuels. The W.E.B Board of Directors, Frank Dumeier and Michael Trcka, is happy to receive this distinguished award that sends a clear and reliable message to consumers: “Electricity from sustainable sources is a forward-looking and eco-friendly alternative to our energy system. W.E.B offers this alternative solution with its green energy concept. As W.E.B Green Energy is 100% generated in W.E.B plants in Austria, it is composed of nothing but clean, regional energy from wind, water, and the sun.”
More and more Austrian companies rely on the Ecolabel due to their sustainable corporate strategies. In order to supply these companies with sustainable energy from W.E.B power plants, W.E.B launched the new tariff “W.E.B Green Energy Ecolabel”. This tariff guarantees 100% green electricity in accordance with the guideline UZ 46 Green Energy, which awards only those tariff models and energy products of green electricity suppliers that are entirely based on renewable energy sources.
