Good news from Canada: Walton has been connected to the grid
11/2016 - Back to overview
In Nova Scotia, the third expansion phase is about to be successfully concluded. Walton is already in operation, and three more sites will follow soon.
The W.E.B team at Pfaffenschlag was eagerly waiting for notification from our Canadian colleagues, and finally the time had come on Saturday, 26 November 2016: the W.E.B plant in Walton, Nova Scotia, was successfully put into operation, thus sounding the bell for the conclusion of the third expansion phase in Canada. Walton is a completely new site for W.E.B and, therefore, reflects the company’s philosophy of a decentralized energy transition. Once again, WEB Windenergie AG relied on Vestas technology and built a 2.0 MW plant of the type Vestas V100. With Baddeck, Brenton, and Hardwood Lands, three more plants will be put into operation in the next few weeks.
We will keep you posted!
