Interim Report on the Third Quarter of 2017
11/2017 - Back to overview
More power plants and more wind able to more than double the results
The trend of the first two quarters of 2017 also continues in the third one. The new power plants of 2016/2017 and the significantly better wind conditions delivered more renewable energy, which resulted in a clear increase both in revenue and earnings. Put into numbers, W.E.B was able to increase its revenue by 31 percent and more than double its EBT from EUR 5.8 million to EUR 13.1 million.
The wind conditions were much better than in the previous year. While only 65 percent of the annual projections were accomplished in September 2016, W.E.B had already produced 70 percent of its annual target one year later. Especially in the months of April, June, and September, wind conditions above average enabled positive production results. W.E.B has put power plants with a total capacity of more than 73 MW into operation since November 2016, which is also reflected in the current quarterly results.
In Austria W.E.B already realized three photovoltaic projects this year, and the wind farm Flesquières in France is in the construction phase. If everything goes according to plan, the new wind farm should become operational in mid-2018.
