More Solar Power for the Waldviertel – Solar Farms in Operation

03/2025 - Back to overview

At the end of February, two new photovoltaic (PV) plants by W.E.B were connected to the grid in Groß-Siegharts and Götzles (AT). Together, these photovoltaic systems will generate over 720 MWh of green electricity annually—enough to supply nearly 1,000 households with clean energy.

The PV plant in Götzles, installed on the agricultural buildings and land of the Schönbauer family, utilizes different surfaces for power generation. A total of 722 modules with a nominal output of 310 kWp were installed here. This power plant will produce 321 MWh of electricity annually, supplying over 863 households. A special feature is the partially PV-clad facade of one of the barnd, which generates additional solar power.

In Groß-Siegharts, W.E.B has opted for a classic ground-mounted PV-array. At this carefully selected location, 520 modules with a total capacity of 346 kWp were installed. This photovoltaic system will generate approximately 400 MWh of green electricity per year.

Both systems are located in the” Waldviertel” region and are strategically placed to optimize and usage. With these projects, W.E.B continues its growth strategy in the photovoltaic sector and makes another significant contribution to the energy transition.
