W.E.B Green Power Still Favorably Priced Despite the End of the Electricity Price Brake
12/2024 - Back to overview
The Electricity Price Brake is a relief measure implemented by the federal government. People who have a valid electricity supply agreement with W.E.B automatically receive the first 2,900 kWh at a subsidized price. However, the legally enacted electricity price brake expires on December 31, 2024.
To prevent a quick increase in energy prices for customers of W.E.B Green Power after the expiration of the electricity price brake, the company has reduced its electricity prices for private customers. The “basic” rate is now set at 13.9 cents/kWh along with the basic monthly fee of € 4.20 (including VAT). Other rates such as those for owners of electric-powered vehicles or residents of partner municipalities are even more favorably priced. All electricity rates can be viewed at https://www.web.energy/at-de/privatkunde/gruenstrom-privat.
The company located in the Waldviertel region of Lower Austria makes it a top priority to ensure fair and stable terms and conditions for end customers to relieve the burden on households, above and beyond any prevailing legal regulations. This approach represents a natural measure on the part of W.E.B, which is designed to strengthen the confidence of end customers in electricity suppliers.
The underlying objective is to ensure an affordable and sustainable energy supply enabling everyone to make a contribution to climate protection.
