W.E.B production result for May 2024
06/2024 - Back to overview
Changeable with weak wind conditions - monthly production below plan
At 92,242 MWh, total monthly production was clearly below the planned target
Last May was wet, warm and accompanied by storms. The absence of the Atlantic frontal zone led to an almost stationary weather pattern over Central Europe. Unfortunately, the resulting low wind speeds meant that none of the W.E.B production countries in Europe were able to achieve their planned values. On the east coast of Canada and the USA, the weather was characterized by high pressure, which is why there also was no overshoot of the plan.
In the PV segment, the Czech Republic and Germany closed the year on a positive note. The weather was cloudier in Italy, Austria, and the USA, where target production could not be achieved.
The hydropower segment closed slightly below plan.
