W.E.B production results April 2023
05/2023 - Back to overview
A wet and rather cold April – monthly production below target
The overall monthly production of 117.329 MWh remained below the defined target.
April 2023 was significantly colder than average for the climate period 1991–2020 (cf. Austrian meteorological service, ZAMG). The month set out rather promising in the wind power segment, as the changeable weather brought lots of wind. Nevertheless, a stable high-pressure system above Central Europe prevented positive production results in Austria, Germany and Czechia in late April. France and Italy benefitted from classic April weather conditions and boasted good or partially even excellent results. The power plants in Canada and the United States could not keep up with expectations in production.
The Czech Republic was the only country in the photovoltaic power segment to generate positive results. The PV production remained below target in Austria, Germany, Italy and the United States.
In the hydroelectric power segment, Austria remained below and Germany above target.
