W.E.B production results February 2019
03/2019 - Back to overview
Good wind conditions – monthly production slightly below target
The overall monthly production of 109,662 MWh missed the projected target by the slightest of margins.
The Central European weather kitchen served us an unusually warm and sunny February. In the Austrian federal provinces of Burgenland and Styria, the month even set new records with temperature rising to and above 24 °C (75 °F). Despite such mild weather, the wind conditions turned in quite an impressive finish in the last days of the month. In Austria and the Czech Republic, our production meter came to a halt just below our expectations. While the wind conditions were considerably weaker in France, Germany accomplished a plus in production. Both Canada and the United States performed much better than expected once again.
The influence of powerful high-pressure systems made this February one of the sunniest months in the history of weather data recording. In the photovoltaic power segment, W.E.B generates a clear plus with Austria, Germany, the Czech Republic and Italy outperforming our projections.
The hydroelectric power segment concluded the month above target in Austria and below target in Germany.
