W.E.B Production Results in June 2024
07/2024 - Back to overview
Instable weather conditions with a lower-than-average level of wind – Monthly production below target
Total monthly power generation in June 2024 equaled 83,804 MWh, which was significantly below the targeted level.
Similar to the month of May 2024, June turned out to be warm and wet and featured frequent spells of bad weather. An extended high-pressure system over the Azores and the related trough dominated weather conditions in Europe, so that wind conditions were considerably below average. The targeted production could not be reached in Austria, Germany, France, Czechia, Italy and the USA. Only in Canada was there more momentum in the air masses, so that the planned production target was slightly exceeded.
Germany, Czechia and the USA generated positive production results in the photovoltaic power segment. In contrast, the weather in Austria was cloudier, and thus defined production target could not be achieved.
Production of the hydroelectric power segment was below the designated target.
