W.E.B production results June 2023
07/2023 - Back to overview
June: Very warm and mostly too dry – monthly production below target
The overall monthly production of 70,000 MWh remained clearly below the defined target.
A high-pressure system from Central to Northern Europe defined the overall weather conditions in Europe in June. The weather brought lots of sunshine and particularly high temperatures but hardly any wind. It is therefore hardly surprising that the production results in Austria, Germany, France, Italy, and Czechia remained significantly below target. While the wind conditions were a little better than average in Canada, the United States could not perform as projected.
Germany and the Czech Republic benefitted from the high-pressure system’s ample sunshine and delivered positive results. As the conditions were a little cloudier in Austria, Italy, and the United States, their productions could not keep up with expectations.
In the hydroelectric power segment, Austria and Germany remained below target.
