W.E.B Production Results – March 2025
04/2025 - Back to overview
Above-Average Temperatures and Low Wind Conditions – Monthly Production Below Target
Total production for the month amounted to 137,323 MWh, falling short of the planned target.
Like the preceding winter, the first meteorological month of spring was exceptionally mild, ranking among the warmest five percent of all March months on record. Dominated by a persistent high-pressure system and the associated below-average wind conditions, production targets could not be met in Austria, Germany, France, Italy, the Czech Republic, and the United States. Only in Canada did stronger air movements lead to a performance above expectations.
In the photovoltaic sector, Austria, Germany, and the Czech Republic exceeded their monthly targets. In contrast, cloudier weather in Italy and the United States led to underperformance.
