W.E.B production results October 2019
11/2019 - Back to overview
Moderate wind conditions:
monthly results slightly above target
The overall monthly production of 99,187 MWh remained above the defined target.
The rather warm month of October delivered very different wind conditions in the various production countries of W.E.B. While the wind levels remained below expectations in Austria and the Czech Republic, Germany and Italy produced positive results. After the strongest September in ten years in northern France, October turned out to be another excellent production month. In contrast, the wind turbines of W.E.B in Canada and the United States could not deliver as expected. All wind power plants taken together, the segment remained on the positive side thanks to the great diversification of W.E.B sites.
W.E.B’s photovoltaic regions were fortunate enough to get more hours of sunlight than the climatological average in October. The photovoltaic power segment in Austria, the Czech Republic and Italy performed better than expected, while Germany concluded the month with slightly negative production results.
The hydroelectric power segment remained above target both in Austria and Germany.
