Diverse wind conditions and with no great extremes – Monthly production above target
Total monthly power generation in October 2024 equaled 132,221 MWh, which was higher than the targeted level.
A Föhn storm which arose prior to Hurricane Kirk partially reached Europe in the first half of the month. Subsequently a calm high-pressure system prevailed towards the end of the month. Accordingly, actual production results exceeded the planned targets in Austria, Germany, Czechia and Canada. There was less momentum in the air masses over France, Italy and once again on the East Coast of the USA. As a consequence, production was below target there.
Power generation in Austria, Germany, Italy and Czechia in the photovoltaic power segment was below the planned production results. In contrast, the weather in the USA was sunnier, enabling the production target to be exceeded.
The hydroelectric power segment in Austria performed below the targeted level.
