Wind farm Spannberg in operation

That’s already the third project W.E.B realized with the municipality

W.E.B has been working with the municipality of Spannberg to produce clean, local energy for more than 15 years. And they are not done yet: the new wind farm generated its first kilowatt hour of green power in early March! Four new wind turbines with a total capacity of 16.8 MW were connected to the grid and will provide sustainable energy for more than 30,000 people per year. 

Construction work on the new wind farm began in November 2020. The wind turbines were set up in early 2022 but were frequently interrupted due to stormy conditions caused by the excellent winter wind conditions in the Weinviertel region. Nevertheless, the plants were put into operation according to schedule and will play a vital role in the region’s energy production.
