The W.E.B success story

2022

After about one and a half years of construction, in December the five wind turbines of the Silver Maple wind farm were supplying sustainable energy. The new wind farm features an on-demand night-time marking system, which keeps the farm dark most nights by replacing the constant flashing red lights with a system that activates only when an aircraft approaches

2021

W.E.B successfully connected its first two solar projects in the USA to the grid, located in Brookfield and Brimfield, Massachusetts.

The Brookfield Solar Energy Project, a Community Shared Solar project, offers green energy with a capacity of 5 MW DC. To keep the grass under the solar modules freshly mown at all times, W.E.B uses sheep – a real “solar farm” that shows how ground-mounted solar power and agriculture can complement each other perfectly.

The Brimfield Solar Energy Project, is also a Community Shared Solar project providing green energy with a capacity just under 2.6 MW DC.

2020

The Maine Public Utilities Commission (MPUC) awarded the 20 MW Silver Maple project to W.E.B..
A total of 15 new projects generating around 500 MW were successful in the tender—of which W.E.B's was the only wind power project to secure a contract.

2018

A new team was established in Massachusetts to enhance project development in the USA. This aimed to bolster the company's presence and capabilities in the American market.

2016

With the plant in Pisgah Mountain, W.E.B‘s first wind farm in the USA was connected to the grid.
