W.E.B Production Results for February 2025

03/2025 - Back to overview

Mild and Dry Weather, and Weak Winds – Monthly Production Below Target

The total production for the month reached 119,362 MWh, falling short of the planned target.

The February balance closely resembled the overall winter trend: temperatures were too mild, precipitation was significantly below average, and sunshine levels were higher than usual. A persistent high-pressure system led to weak wind conditions, preventing planned production levels from being met in Austria, Germany, France, Italy, the Czech Republic, and the USA. However, in Canada, stronger air currents allowed production to surpass expectations.

In the solar energy sector, Austria and the Czech Republic exceeded their targets, whereas Germany, Italy, and the USA experienced cloudier conditions, leading to underperformance compared to planned production.
